Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given of the 2012 Annual General Meeting of The Malta Geographical Society to be held at Depiro Hall, St. Julian’s Street, Birkirkara. (Close to Mater Dei Hospital) on February 28th 2012 at 6.30 pm. All paid-up members are eligible to attend and are warmly invited to do so. Please bring your 2011/12 Membership card with you. Any proposed motions or nominations for the Committee should be received by the Hon. Secretary, not later than 14th February 2012 (Rule 11 applies).

For those coming by bus to the meeting please go direct to Mater Dei,then walk downhill towards the round about. Directly across the round about is St Julians Street, continue down the road some 150 mts and on the right you will find the entrance to the hall.

There is a large car at the rear of the hall.

The meeting will be followed by a talk by Marco Cremona entitled “Conquering Everest” at approximately 7.30pm.

Reference paragraph 7.Remove section 7 and replace it by the following amended version.
“The Chairman or his delegate from the Committee and one other person who is not a Committee member shall be appointed to examine and certify the accounts for the year before submitting to the AGM.”
