Bus numbers: 51 52 53 202 203
The walk starts from near the Archbishop's Seminary at Tal-Virtu in Rabat. While waiting for the members to gather one can enjoy the lovely views from the belvedere and have a quick look at the sundial within the grounds of the seminary.
We start the walk in an easterly direction towards the domed chapel with the seminary on the right and lovely views on the left. Near the domed chapel we leave the surfaced road and round the perimeter wall of the chapel grounds. After a short distance we come to staggered crossroads where we turn right (signposted Girgenti) onto the Rabat-Siggiewi road. At the next crossroads, in the vicinity of San Blas Rehabilitation Centre, we turn left.
BREAK HERE
Resuming our walk we turn left past St James Chapel and walk in the direction of Mdina. At another set of crossroads we turn left and continue ex-Verdala Hotel. Bear left at the “Y” junction and continue up the very steep hill at the top we turn left and walk back to our cars.
